  • Don’t Follow Your Enemy While Zoomed In
  • If your target starts moving too fast for you to keep up while zoomed in, you’ll need to zoom out and quickly zoom back in a few feet ahead of him so he’s running into your crosshairs.
  • Have Patience
  • Wait for your shot. Every time you shoot you’re potentially giving away your location. If you miss your first shot don’t panic and fire off a whole round trying to hit your enemy. Keep yourself together.
  • Use Different Spots
  • Don’t stick to one spot, no matter how good it is. Have a few spots to move around from and don’t forget about killcam.
  • Sleight of Hand Pro
  • This perk can be really helpful for sniping. The reloading helps but the quick aim is what really makes a big difference. This way when you see an enemy you can zoom in a lot faster before he starts to move because you can’t catch up to his movement while being zoomed in.
  • Shotguns As Secondary
  • Shotguns are a deadly combo with a sniper rifle. It keeps you well rounded for long range and close range combat. Most people will see a sniper and expect him to be totally helpless at close range but once you whip out those akimbo rangers he won’t know what hit him. Sleight of hand is a good combo for the shotguns as well.
  • Claymores
  • This is pretty much a given for a sniper class. Claymores are really helpful when you’ve got a sweet spot and even if it doesn’t kill the enemy it will give you a heads up when it goes off so you’re ready for him.

  • One Many Army
  • Using a sniper rifle with one many army can be a really good strategy. There’s a lot of different ways you could approach using it. One example is a class with your sniper, one many army and claymores. Plant a claymore, use one many army to switch to that same class, and plant another claymore. You can have 2 active claymores at a time. When you hear the claymores go off but not kill anyone, switch to a class with an assault rifle and now you’re prepared for close range combat. You could even put one man army on that assault rifle class and switch back to sniping when you kill your close range enemy.
  • Cold-blooded Pro
  • Here’s another good perk for sniping depending on what gun you’re using. For the less powerful sniper rifles you might want to use stopping power instead.
  • Wait To Hold Your Breath
  • It’s usually a good idea to not actually push down on the thumbstick to hold your breath until you actually see your enemy. More specifically when he’s in your cross hairs. Shooting my first shot and holding my breath at the same time so I have it long enough for that second shot if I need it seems to work out well.
  • Listen To Your Surroundings
  • Pay attention to footsteps, explosions, clicks for UAVs and other things when sniping. As soon as you hear something suspicious pull out your secondary and check it out.
